๐Ÿ’šUPDATE: SAVE Tarpauline Project๐Ÿ’š

Maayong udto mga ka-AGAK.

Last March 2020, we have launch a “Tarpauline Donation Drive” in support of SEED4COM’s community sustainability projects. We are glad to report that we have recieved a lot of tarpauline donations and inquiries all over the country! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿค—

Photos shown below was taken last March 14, 2020 where we personally delivered some of the donated tarpaulines to the “Nanay” weavers of Looc Naval Home Owners Cooperative, Lapulapu City. We were able to talk to them about the project and saw first hand some of the prototype samples of the tarpauline products.

Through these activities, small cooperatives and groups can earn a sustainable income while helping our environment. SAVE will continue such projects and help support more community based environmental sustainability initiatives with the coordination of SEED4COM.

Our other aim is to implement these environmental activities as well within the CIT-U community. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

SAVE BIG THANK YOU

SAVE BIG THANK YOU ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ

HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY!

The month of May was an extremely busy month for the SAVE Organization as it has launched and implemented BACK TO BACK COVID19 relief activities. Though the challenges were daunting, we were grateful that we have pulled this off with the help of our generous donors and partners.

We have generated a total of Php61,375 of cash donations for the two activities. We were able to give relief aid to 270 beneficiaries, 150 toddler packs for SAVE MAMBALING and 120 senior relief packs for SAVE SUBA.

A lot is still needed to the most affected families of this pandemic. We hope these activities have inspired all of you to give and share to people in need. No amount of help is either big or small as long as your intention to help is there.

We hope and pray that this health crisis will be over as soon as possible.

To all our ka agak on SAVE for MAMBALING

To all our ka agak on SAVE for MAMBALING ๐Ÿค

With your generous support and help, we were able to turn-over a cash donation worth Php48,000 last May 17, 2020 to Barangay Mambaling through Acting Punong Brgy. Anne Marie Vestil Palomo

On the same day, our partners were able to utilize the cash donation right away by purchasing essential packs customized for the needs of every child beneficiary from the data that they got from their survey the previous days. The contents of the packs vary but here are the common items: baby food, diapers, vitamins, and hygiene essentials.

Last Monday,(May 18, 2020) our partners started distributing the essential packs to the children inside the isolation centers. It is expected that the distribution will finish within the week.

We are very happy and proud for the spirit of volunteerism, passion for service, and deep sense of citizenship among you guys amidst this crisis.

DAGHANG SALAMAT! โค๏ธ

AGAK MAMBALING EXTEND YOUR HELP

SAVE MAMBALING

Alaska Mambaling, one of the densely populated areas in the barangay, is on lockdown. This makes it even more difficult to move around and buy necessities for the family, especially needs for child care. They need your help. Your donations will be used to provide the children with vitamins, milk formula, diapers, and other necessary items. Padayon tang mu-AGAK sa mga nanginahanglan. <3

Initiative of Seed4Com represented by Mr. Dann Diez

With the initiative of Seed4Com represented by Mr. Dann Diez, one of the SAVE Founders, and in cooperation with the CIT-U Community Extension Services (CES), and SAVE Organization, there were many students and professors who volunteered and took part of the making of solar lamps.

The initial turnover of the finished solar lamps was spearheaded by Ms. Emee Gasataya Dela Peรฑa, SAVE 2020 President. As catalysts of positive change, SAVE believes that in critical collaboration with different organizations, one can help impact the community.

We highly encourage more Technologians to volunteer their time in making the solar lamps. No efforts are too small. You may not be capable of creating waves, but you can create ripples that can change the society, one person at a time.

Let us help light up the temporary shelters of the fire victims in Mandaue. As students, we can always do something for those in need.

Assembly of Solar Lamps in Room 146.
This is a project by Seed4Com in partnership with CIT-U CES Office. Here are photos of some of our SAVE volunteers. More Technologian volunteers are welcome to help!! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’ก

SAVE believes that in partnership with different NGOs, and the school administration, we can bring in a better light to help others in need. It is in this act that we can put to good use our capabilities to provide active involvement to the community.

Finished lamps will be turned over to fire victims in CICC Mandaue. Solar kits are sponsored by CDU NSTP students.
